-Stop talking about my thoughts! – Dessa continues.

-We understand you much, Joanna. – Olisa says. – We have been friends for almost 10 years. Each of your expressions can tell us everything you are thinking.

-But we have another one here. – Joanna feels shy.

-He is not a stranger, right, Dessa? – Olisa asks.

-Yup, he is our friend and your… - Dessa pauses.

-Okay, okay, do not make her hard to explain. – Kelvin says.

-Oh, looking at someone is protecting someone. – Olisa laughs.

-Let’s continue our lunch, we have things to do in the afternoon. – Dessa says.

In the afternoon, Kelvin and some volunteers help to clean up some old rooms in the school, and they decorate them into the studying rooms for painting, dancing,… Joanna finishes her class early and brings water to them.

-Kelvin, everyone, pause a while and take some water. – She tells them.

-Thanks, Ms. Joanna! – They reply.

Joanna and Kelvin sit on a long chair.

-Thank you so much for the things you are doing. – Joanna says.

-I think these are what I should do. – He replies and receives a glass of water from her.

-Joanna, Joanna… - Dessa calls for her from the yard.

-What is going on? Why do you look so serious? – Joanna stands up and catches her friend’s arm.

-David… he has donated a big amount of money to our school. – Dessa answers.

-So what? It is good news!

-Nope, we all know about David, he will make everything to have the thing he wants.

-What does he want at our school?

-You… Joanna, do not be innocent like that. He has been crushing you for almost 3 years.

-But I do not love him and also told him many times about that.

-He will not give up, although we have Kelvin here, you should be careful with him. The Principal has agreed that he can attend every activity in our school.

-I understand, I know how to protect myself.

Dessa leaves, Kelvin steps closer to Joanna.

-I think that if he really loves you, he will not do anything harmful to you. – He says.

-Yes, he does. He has not done anything bad to me in recent years. – Joanna replies.

-Hey, everyone, finish our works and I will invite you to go to the hot pot restaurant! – Kelvin says to his friends and turns to Joanna. – Do you want to go with us?

-I have new lessons tomorrow, I should prepare them first.

-Okay, see you later!

The days later, David also goes to the school and donates many things relating to teaching works and supporting teachers’ lives. Kelvin continues his martial arts class to the students. Both two men are trying to show their best supports to the school. Not all people know their main purposes, but they can see Kelvin’s good purposes for the pupils, do not care much about Joanna only.

One day, after the classes, the pupils pour out from the classrooms. They get a hurry to go home with their parents. Suddenly, one of the students is slipped and fallen down from the stairs. Kelvin is walking with Alessa near the place. He hears the student’s yell and runs to the stairs to catch him making Kelvin fall down on the ground and get some scratches on his arms.

-Are you okay, Adam? – Dessa runs to help her student stand up.

-I am okay, Miss Dessa. – The student replies. – Thank you, Mr. Kelvin!

-Are you okay, Kelvin? – Dessa also helps him. – You got hurt, let me lead you to the clinic.

-Dessa, let me… - Joanna appears. – Lead the students to the entrance.

-Okay, you must be more careful next time. – Dessa says to her student.

Joanna leads Kelvin to the clinic. She gets the first aid box and cleans the scratches on his arms.

-Try to stand for a while. – She carefully cleans the blood.

-They are normal to me, you know my works including many things heavier than them. – Kelvin says and looks at her movement.

She tries to be lightest as she can to clean his bleeding scratches. He cannot keep his eyes out of her now, he thinks that he did not choose wrongly. She is the one he wants to be with all the rest of his life. No one can be better.

-Why do you look at me like that? – She asks and brings him back to reality.

After two classes, Joanna walks to the yard to see what Kelvin is planning to do. He is preparing some things needed for martial arts training. Dessa and Olisa lead the students out of five classrooms.

-Hello, everyone. – Dessa says to the students. – Today we have a special guest, Mr. Kelvin. He was approved by the school’s Principal for teaching some martial arts skills for you.

-Wow, it sounds interesting! – The students yell.

-Instead of doing exercises between the class time, you will be instructed by Mr. Kelvin to know how to protect yourselves when meeting a dangerous situation. – Dessa continues.

-Olisa, why do not you tell me about this? – Joanna gets close to Olisa.

-I have just known 2 hours ago, I thought he had shared to you about his plan. – Olisa replies.

-Haha… it is so funny. – Joanna ridicules.

-Okay, let’s start, young guys! – Kelvin stands in the middle of the round of students. – At first, I want to introduce to you some of the basic moves. You can use them when someone following you and catching you from the back. 

He makes some moves. The students feel very excited and clap their hands continuously. Some of them yell with excitement. Joanna looks at Kelvin, he is very serious when doing this. Each move of him shows its strength and attraction. She watches him doing martial arts as she is watching a movie, cannot help herself out of his movements.

-Joanna… Joanna… - Olisa shakes her shoulder.

-Oh, what did you say? – She returns to reality.

-I did not say anything. You seem to be attracted to his martial arts skill.

-Well, you can see the kids, they watch him carefully. – Joanna answers.

-Yup, what a strong man with perfect skills!

-Now, it is time for you to practice! – Kelvin stops his moves and says to the pupils.

He points at some students to stand up and walk to his place. He helps them to fix their movements into the right ones. He looks up and sees Joanna’s eyes watching him, he smiles with her. This time, her heart like melting, he is so handsome doing this work and his sparkle eyes looking at her.

At lunch, Joanna brings out the lunch box Kelvin prepared for her. Dessa and Olisa take their food and sit down next to her.

-Wow, you prepared a lunch box for today? – Dessa asks.

-But I can see a heart-shaped rice piece, I guess that it was not prepared by our Joanna! – Olisa says.

-Well, it is … - Joanna plans to reply.

-Made by Kelvin? – Dessa continues. – Look, he is coming!

-Should we go to another table? – Olisa laughs.

-Wait, wait. – Kelvin says with them. – Please do not go! Joanna will be not happy if you go away from her because of me!

-What a caring man! – Dessa smiles.

-Okay, Joanna, we are here with you, if he does anything bad to you, you can tell us, we will punish him very heavily! – Olisa says.

-How can I do anything bad to my Miss Beautiful? – He wonders.

-I only see that there is someone who cared much about our Joanna, Olisa. Do not need to care too much. – Dessa points to the lunch box.

Joanna tries the food in the lunch box and her eyes seem to shine with the taste she is getting.

She leads him to the toilet and waits for him a while. They get onto his motorbike and rides to her friend’s restaurant. That is a small but well-decorated restaurant.

-Yup, my friend is a traditional lady. She knows how to cook many Chinese dishes. – Joanna replies.

-I know, too. – He looks at her gently.

-You know how to cook? Impressive!

-My cooking ability is very good, I will show you later. I am hungry now, can we get in?

Kelvin looks around the restaurant, a very traditional style with candles and lanterns. He thinks that Joanna must be a very kind-hearted person through the way she chooses her favorite restaurant. He also knows to cook Chinese foods, he must show her that and maybe he could win a small piece of her love through the food. Pauleen brings the food to them, she put on the table with a small dish of some jelly pieces in heart-shaped.

-I did not order this! – Joanna says to her friend.

-This is not for you, for this handsome guy. – Pauleen replies.

-For me? But I am at this restaurant for the first time. – Kelvin surprises.

-Best wishes to you in winning someone’s heart! – Pauleen smiles.

-Oh, that is your plan, Pauleen! – Joanna says with an uncomfortable voice.

-I know, I know. – Pauleen touches her shoulder and gets closer to her ear. – You have not been led any man to y restaurant for the last 10 years. He is the first one, he must be the special one.

-Okay, you talk too much. – Joanna pushes her friend back to the kitchen and returns to Kelvin. – Sorry, she talked too much.

-But I like it. – He smiles. – I see that you have many lovely friends.

-Yes, they do, but you have no idea about their spreading news ability.

-Every group of friends does. – He laughed.

After their dinner, Kelvin takes her back to her home, and still stops at the entrance of the road leading to her house. She gives back the helmet.

-Goodbye, sweet dreams! – He says.

She says and leads to her home’s direction. He smiles himself, “See you later! That means you would want to meet me again! Yeah!”. He yells in happiness, people on the road look at him strangely. He realizes that and starts his engine to ride away.

The next day, Kelvin gets up very early, he comes to the market and buys some vegetables with meat. He returns and sees his mother standing at the door.

-Look like someone is in love! – Mercedes smiles.

-Mother, you know that… I cannot let go of someone really special. – Kelvin replies.

-I know, I know. It has been a long time I did not see you in happiness like this.

Kelvin gets into the kitchen and prepares a lunch box for Joanna. He sings while he is cooking the food making Mercedes smile satisfied. He fixes his clothes before getting the lunch box with him and goes to his motorbike’s place.

-Goodbye, son! Winning her heart! – Mercedes waves her hand.

Joanna walks to the bus station as usual, but she sees Kelvin waving for her on the crossroad’s pavement.

The next day, while Dessa and Joanna are teaching in their class, Kelvin gets into the school and goes to the Principal’s room. He talks with the Principal of the school for a while and gets approval. He comes to the main yard and prepares some things. When the bell rings, the students run out of the class and lead to the main entrance of the school. However, they stop in the yard and make into a crowd.

Dessa and Joanna walk out of the classes, planning to go to the teachers’ room.

-Joanna, why do not the student go home? – Dessa asks.

-I have no idea. Let’s get there and see what happens. – Joanna suggests.

They walk to the yard and sees some new kinds of toys are built there, and Kelvin is building another beside the new ones. He smiles when seeing Joanna and Dessa.

-Mr. Kelvin, you bring these here for the students? – Dessa asks.

-Yup, Ms. Dessa. – He stops and answers. – Alessa said that she saw some kinds of these toys on the internet and she thought that it would be nice if our school had some.

-Wow, thank you so much, the students must like them a lot. – Dessa replies.

-Yes, Ms. Dessa, I have never dreamt of some toys like these in our school. – One student says.

-Alessa, you are so happy when having an uncle like him. – Another says.

-I am not doing this alone, there are some foundations helping me to buy these toys. – He says.

-Uncle, I love you so much. – Alessa hugs him and kisses him on his cheek.

-Okay, guys, you can play with them tomorrow, now let’s go home, your parents are waiting for you at home. – Joanna talks to the students.

-Yes, Ms. Joanna. – They say. – Thank Mr. Kelvin a lot.

The students run out of the school, Dessa also goes to the teachers’ room, leaving Joanna and Kelvin alone. She sits down next to him, takes out her tissue, and cleans his sweat.
