-Friend? – David laughs and holds his head. – Joanna, how can it be?

-Why not? – Joanna asks. – You have been accepted for more than 3 years.

-But without Kelvin, he creates the feeling of scare that you will leave me one day very early. I just cannot accept that thing to be real.

-Things will change, all of them, Joanna. When you have a family for your own, your time used to be spent for your friends would be shorter, you would be busier and do not care about us more.

Joanna stands up and gets her things with her. David sits there with a sad face while thinking that how there can be a friend relationship between a man and a woman for many years. He laughs himself for his innocent thought, which he used to think that if Jason did not come back, Joanna would never be attracted by any other man.

-David, are you okay? – Dessa walks into the canteen.

-Oh, I am okay, thank you! – He tries to hide his red eyes.

-I know that it has taken you a very long time following Joanna, but you know… people cannot direct their hearts for loving someone, hating someone, or avoiding someone.

-I understand, but why does she easily fall for Kelvin? I cannot accept that. Is he better than me in every aspect? Or what is attractive much from him, which I do not have?

-Oh, David, you know that no one is better than others in every aspect. We are talking about the sync of the hearts when you meet someone. The sync that you cannot have when meeting some other persons. And, one more important thing, time cannot tell that who will be loved more.

-Dessa, how could your husband win your heart?

-Haha, David, with each person, there will be another way to win their heart. With me, it is simple that he creates a feeling of safety and warmness to me.

-I still cannot understand what does Joanna need?

-Joanna? She needs someone could help her to get over the shadow of Jason in her heart.

-And it seems not to be me. – David’s voice is upset.

-I have no idea about that, only Joanna knows who is suitable for her. Ah, sorry, I have to go, my husband is waiting for me at home, he has a surprise for me today.

Dessa says and goes, continuing leaving David alone in the canteen. He sits there and thinks a lot about Joanna, about their relationship. If he tries to get her love, maybe he loses their current status and she will never want to meet him again. However, he does not believe that Kelvin is much better than him for Joanna. There will be a way…

-Mister… - The owner of the canteen shakes David’s shoulder. – We are going to close.

-Oh, sorry. I almost forget the time. – He stands up.

-You have been sitting here for nearly 4 hours.

-Thank you for your consideration, here is the tip.

-But you have not ordered anything… - The owner surprises.

-I pay for the place for me to think about my life.

-You are crushing Joanna, right? That lady is very strange, people say that she cannot escape her first love, the guy left her alone for many years.

-I know, but she is somehow very special to me.

-I understand, love is something we cannot control. However, I see that she is attracted to Kelvin, the stuntman came here to teach the kids how to protect themselves.

David hears that sentence and walks away from the canteen.

-Oh, what a guy! – The owner of the canteen shakes his head. – Young guys do not know how precious their time is.

Some days later, Joanna asks her mother and Jessie about the time that Kelvin can go to their house. They agree the Saturday evening. Jennifer plans to cook some delicious dishes. They are both happy for Joanna when she can escape the missing of Jason every day as she used to. Joanna tells Kelvin about the time and says that he should not prepare anything, her family does not like the gifts or something expensive. Kelvin agrees and has a plan for himself to win the love from his “future mother- and sister-in-law”.

Saturday comes, Joanna and Jessie help Jennifer clean up their house a bit. For a long time, there has not been any “male” guest appearing in their house. Joanna told Kelvin to arrive at her home at 5 o’clock. However, it is three, and the doorbell rings.

-Jessie, help me to see who is there! – Jennifer calls for her daughter.

Jessie runs to the door and opens.

-What can I help you? – Jessie sees Kelvin.

-Oh, Is Joanna at home? – Kelvin asks. – You must be Jessie?

-You are Kelvin, why do you get here too early? We have not finished our preparation yet.

-How could I let you and Joanna’s mother prepare things to welcome me?

-What a cool guy! My sister has good eyes! Get in, brother!
